It is widely accepted that as a small child, discovering “fun” ways of learning English is a big advantage in its acquisition. This Website provides parents, teachers and other educators with entertaining free online English language tools alongside informative Japanese commentary.
From songs and dances for babies to games and video clips for older kids, relax and have fun with your children while learning English at the same time. These richly interactive multi-media activities are intended to also improve memory, increase responsiveness, enhance listening and many other key skills as well. “FUN” is our motto. "Let's Learn English at Kani no ko School!!!"
The First Step!
Where would you like to start to learn English? How about from the basics, like the “Alphabet”? Can you sing the entire “ABC song”? If you are not sure, that's alright, you can master it easily while going over it with your children. You, as a mom, dad or teacher, are the best example your children have in developing a new language, as long as you enjoy learning! You only need to click “Playground” on the menu bar for fun English learning songs. “ABC song” is in “ABC Zoo” in the “Baby” section.

Activities are grouped by age and grade. Have your child master the lower levels then gradually the higher ones.
Child Development: Our learning activities not only improve reading, language and communication, they also cover music and the arts, critical thinking, logic and many other important areas fostering successful developmental growth.
Effective Learning: Some children learn more visually, while others through auditory. All learn better using both, that is why Kani no ko School implements highly interactive audio/visual activities.

In many parts of the world, English has become a compulsory subject from the lower grades, and I started to hear from anxious parents’ voices. While raising my son in America, I began to evaluate educational Websites. Seeing how much fun he has had and how much he has learned; I realized they could benefit children starting to learn English along with their parents and teachers who would love to help them excel.
In creating this site, I have used my point of view as a parent with a degree in Human Science and as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher in the United States to show that “Learning English is Fun!”
